Now that I have become a distance learner I have lost some of my motivation for learning. I think that meeting after meeting without physical interaction can get boring. I dislike how everything has become more of a burden than an experience. For example, completing half of your assignment and then your internet goes out or your computer crashes. Now you have to wait for these issues to be resolved, the assignment takes longer and becomes less interesting. To improve the experience of my future students I think do things that are more interactive and ensuring that if possible most work of the homework can be done effectively.
Open Education Resources is just what it sounds like. Educational resources that are open and available to anyone to use. Teachers can use these resources as long as they provide the proper credit to the owner when using or reproducing these resources. Not only can teachers access these resources but students can as well. Here is a link to a blog about Open Educational Resources: https://blog.tcea.org/tag/open-education-resources/
The new skills that I have acquired from the Powerpoint assignment is learning how to audibly present and save that file. I also learned the difference between a linear and a non-linear PowerPoint. I liked how the First PowerPoint looked after I completed everything. I did not like adding the shapes and transitions to the non-linear Powerpoint so far. If I were to do this assignment again, I would focus more of the logistics of the powerpoint instead of the designs. Down below is some of my work for these two assignments.

Hey, Tori!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate to your lack of motivation during these trying times. I have also felt very unmotivated because it is difficult to "interact" in a virtual environment. I know how tirelessly teachers and professors work to make their lessons interactive and enjoyable; however, it is not the same.
Hang in there though. We're all in this together!
