Hello!
Copyright is defined as the right to reproduce, modify, share a work. Fair use allows for individuals to copy work for nonprofit educational purposes. Fair use also focuses on how much is copied and the impact. As a teacher, I would explain the concepts to my students to ensure understanding. I would emphasize the importance of originality and model this in my classroom.
Cyberbullying and student privacy are big issues when it comes to technology implementation in the classroom. A solution to cyberbullying is limiting the use of platforms where students are often bullied in classrooms. For example, I would use google classroom instead of social media sites so that I can monitor student activity. A solution to student privacy can be informing students of the dangers of technology. Also, having students add necessary information to the technology they are using decreases incidents where student privacy would be an issue.
This week I completed a newsletter for a second-grade classroom. I learned how to add a border, shade a portion of the page, and create a banner using Canva. In the future, I would improve my Newsletter by creating a special template to use. After creating this newsletter I could see where sections would remain the same by having different information. Overall, the skills that I learned could be used in my future career to help me create newsletters for my future students.
Here is a screenshot of my newsletter:

Hey, Tori!
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost, your newsletter looks so neat and beautiful! From a visuals standpoint, I think you chose great colors and your spacing worked out pretty well. I especially love the "Permission Slip" part - looks very realistic.
In addition, I also mentioned that I appreciate having learned more (through this project) because, as a future educator, I want to learn how to create things that my students (and their parents) will like. Visuals and images are more important than we realize so it's great that we got to practice with that!
You have a very well done newsletter. Mine did not come out as well as yours. I love your use of color and graphics to make the newsletter fun and exciting. I think it is very smart of you to use google classrooms rather than a social media site to limit cyberbullying, I had a hard time developing a way to limit cyberbullying within the classroom.
